The Physical Security Specialist will be engaged in the administration, maintenance, and repair of various security systems managed by the Corporate Security team. The ideal candidate operates with a safety and security focused mindset; possessing strong problem solving, organization, and critical thinking skills. They are expected to have excellent written and oral communication, presentation and project management skills. They have the ability to analyze processes and make recommendations for improvement. A solid understanding of internal software platforms (Pacom, Verint, Rapid Response, AsureID) will help convey Delta Community's security practices within our footprint. They have proven characteristics of responsibility, initiative, determination, creativity, flexibility, self-confidence and a positive, team-oriented attitude. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for both individual and shared responsibilities.

  • Operates Pacom GMS application for alarm systems management and electronic access control.
  • Creates and administers ID badges, adds/deletes/changes physical badge access in the Pacom system.
  • Ensure security systems information is current by monitoring and updating personnel changes.
  • Participates in and supports management of 24/7 alarm calls related to branch alarm call lists, equipment failures/issues, and other requests for physical security to ensure coverage, escalation, and response consistency.
  • Provides support to CCTV system users in how to operate and repair CCTV issues.
  • Assists team with assessments of security equipment and procedures at each branch.
  • Maintains inventory of all CCTV, alarm, electronic access control and related security equipment, plus validation of security procedures performed at the branch level.
  • Responsible for 360Facility work order system and service ticket processes used with security and other vendors for timely repairs, while keeping cost control as a priority.
  • Provides technical assistance to users via timely updates/closeouts of 360Facility and security vendor tickets.
  • Conducts semiannual audit of various levels of access assignments, access templates, and ensure Corporate Security profile assignments accurately mirror that of HR.
  • Maintains 360Facility and other tracking and audit records for Pacom system for annual Corporate Audit review.
  • Provides assistance to contract security staff as needed; ensures security officers are performing to post-order requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to work an alternate schedule before and after hours to meet department objectives, which could include disaster recovery, incidents and events. May require long periods of standing.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time to different Delta Community locations through the greater metro Atlanta area (with eligibility for mileage reimbursement under the Credit Union's standard policy).
  • Assists team with scheduling and facilitating branch mock robbery exercises; evaluates and provides feedback to ensure employees are well-prepared in the event of a robbery and that robbery processes are current.
  • Provides assistance with fraud and incident media to Legal/Loss Prevention, Card Services and law enforcement.
  • Responsible for working with manager to plan projects, programs and annual goals.
  • Assists Facilities in the planning and implementation of annual fire drills.
  • Stays abreast of current activity relative to security and the financial industry; motivated to expand job knowledge through continued training.

Job Qualifications

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years' Rapid Response, Verint Vid-Center, robbery preparedness experience and/or related corporate physical security duties.
  • Experience creating program management processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of credit union or financial institution security functions, such as alarm, access control and CCTV systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving detailed technical issues related to security systems and functions.
  • Strong knowledge of both security and company policies and procedures.
  • Working experience with technical and physical support for high-security areas, security equipment, and security systems.
  • Possesses effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Well organized, flexible, detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management, staff, members, vendors and law enforcement.
  • Capable of travelling to local branch locations and offices; up to 30% afterhours travel to cover emergency situations and mock robbery exercises. Must have valid driver's license and transportation.
  • Demonstrates critical decision-making under pressure; strong reasoning skills; adherence to deadlines.
  • Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in management, risk management, or security.
  • 3+ years' experience in the administration of corporate physical security or security-oriented experience.
  • Physical security experience at credit union or financial institution environment.
  • Experience with Verint Vid-Video Inspector and Op-Center or similar CCTV applications.
  • Experience operating Pacom GMS or similar alarm and electronic access control systems.
  • Strong familiarity of financial institution general robbery and emergency procedures.
  • Working knowledge of ID card application and printer.
