General Summary

The quality foreman is responsible for performing and documenting quality assurance testing on raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products in accordance with ISO 9000 quality system and internal quality control procedures. The foreman is also responsible for supervising quality technicians in both a lab and field setting.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  • Measuring and documenting results of quality tests for materials, processes, and finished products.

  • Determining conformance with specifications and internal procedures.

  • Primary responsibility for calibration of equipment in accordance with quality system.

  • Review of production and quality documentation.

  • Assists in the maintenance of all inspection and testing equipment and the implementation of new quality assurance procedures.

  • Provides assistance to the following departments or functions: production, shipping and receiving, inventory control, maintenance, and employee training.

  • Performs other quality-related responsibilities as needed.

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 year of experience of quality experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Perform medium duty manufacturing work in a group environment

  • Should possess basic literacy and computation skills and the ability to read and take basic measurements

  • Basic proficiency in Excel is required

  • Previous quality or manufacturing experience is a plus

Minimum Requirements

Applicant must demonstrate ability to perform duties of a Quality Control Technician III or possess equivalent work experience.

Additional Duties

Foreman must demonstrate ability to successfully supervise all test work assignments in a safe and timely manner with a minimum managerial oversight. Foreman must demonstrate ability to supervise others in an enthusiastic, friendly, courteous and responsive manner. Employee will meet with Quality Control Department Management periodically to discuss performance and document areas where improvement may be needed.
