Enterprise Cloud Security Architect
The Opportunity:
The Enterprise Cloud Security Architect provides architecture leadership across Booz Allen's Enterprise. This role requires deep technical expertise across AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud platforms, shaping how engineering teams design and implement secure by design cloud and hybrid solutions. The architect develops and maintains enterprise security standards, cloud governance models, and multicloud reference architectures, ensuring alignment with Booz Allen's global security strategy and multicloud vision. The position plays a critical role in advancing scalable, secure, and compliant cloud environments that support enterprise business objectives.
The Enterprise Cloud Security Architect will serve as a multicloud architecture SME across AWS, Azure, and GCP, providing design level leadership and guidance to engineering teams. Lead the interpretation and adoption of multicloud governance models, including AWS Control Tower, Azure Landing Zones, and GCP Organization Structures, to support secure and automated enterprise environments. Translate security strategies into cloud agnostic architectural patterns, standards, and reference architectures implemented across engineering teams. Contribute to shaping Booz Allen's enterprise cloud and cybersecurity capabilities by developing converged multicloud architectural approaches aligned with innovation, governance, risk management, and modernization goals.
Lead architectural and design reviews to ensure alignment with reference architectures, enterprise security controls, and compliance frameworks. Communicate architectural direction across teams and stakeholders to support consistency, clarity, and secure-by-design decision making. Maintain deep understanding of cloud security, automation, networking, and identity to effectively evaluate and influence engineering solutions and technical implementations. This position is located in McLean, Virginia.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise security architecture, cloud architecture, or cybersecurity engineering roles
  • Knowledge of Multicloud governance and automation such as AWS Control Tower, Azure Landing Zones, or GCP Org Policies
  • Knowledge of Multicloud networking models, including segmentation, routing, and hybrid connectivity
  • Knowledge of Cloud security controls, compliance frameworks, and security telemetry ecosystems
  • Knowledge of modern cybersecurity frameworks, including zerotrust principles and secure by design methodologies
  • Ability to evaluate, guide, and improve architectural designs created by engineering and delivery teams
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience producing enterprise architecture artifacts such as reference architectures, design patterns, standards, and decision records
  • Experience with cloud modernization and multicloud strategy drivers such as innovation, portability, governance consolidation, and vendor diversification
  • Knowledge of cloud native security, identity, and platform capabilities across all three major cloud providers
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure code concepts such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep to provide architectural guidance
  • Multicloud certifications, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
