About Your Role

The Project Manager TDIP Low Voltage Systems Integrator is responsible for driving and overseeing the design, integration, and execution of IT, low-voltage, special systems, and technology innovations across multiple airport terminal projects. This position serves as the primary IT and systems integration liaison and owner representative, working closely with Information Management & Technology (IMT) executives, system owners, designers, contractors, and stakeholders.

This role requires deep subject matter expertise in airport terminal IT systems and low-voltage infrastructure, including:

  • Network systems and enterprise infrastructure design
  • Passenger processing systems
  • Terminal management systems
  • Baggage handling systems
  • Building automation systems
  • Lighting control systems
  • Aircraft guidance systems (VDGS)
  • Ramp management systems
  • CCTV, access control, and security integration systems
  • Emergency notification and public address systems
  • Wi-Fi and wireless communications systems

The successful candidate will ensure consistent integration, coordination, commissioning, and delivery of complex systems across multiple terminals while maintaining alignment with scope, schedule, budget, safety, and operational requirements.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, or a related technical field required
  • Additional qualifying experience beyond the minimum requirements may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis
  • Professional licensure and/or certifications strongly preferred, including:
    • AAAE
    • LEED
    • PE
    • PMP
    • AICP (or equivalent)


What You'll Need to Get the Job Done

  • Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in project management, systems integration, or construction management
  • Experience on airport or large-scale infrastructure projects strongly preferred
  • Experience managing projects exceeding $100 million in value
  • Experience with delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build, CMAR, and Design-Build
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems design, construction, and integration methodologies in active operational environments
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders including owners, designers, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Experience managing submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, testing, and commissioning processes
  • Understanding of airport change management processes and legacy system integration
  • Familiarity with LAWA USR and ASR processes and system impacts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
  • Ability to work in CAD or Revit preferred


What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary liaison with IMT representatives for IT scope direction, implementation, and integration
  • Coordinate with CBP, TSA, and other stakeholders regarding IT infrastructure and system integration requirements
  • Review and validate IT scope costs, implementation plans, and integration strategies
  • Oversee IT room buildout, network infrastructure, horizontal cabling, and backbone systems
  • Lead integration workshops through deployment and final commissioning of terminal systems, including:
    • Passenger processing systems
    • CCTV and surveillance systems
    • Access control systems (ACAMS)
    • Flight information display systems
    • Baggage handling systems
    • Public address systems
    • Wi-Fi and wireless systems
    • VDGS and aircraft guidance systems
    • Emergency notification systems
    • Ramp management systems
  • Lead integration of building and mechanical systems, including:
    • Building automation systems
    • Lighting control systems
    • Power metering and controls
    • Conveyance monitoring systems
    • FMCS at central utility plants
  • Coordinate cybersecurity integration requirements with LAWA cyber security teams and IT vendors
  • Collaborate with designers, contractors, and stakeholders to develop construction sequencing and critical milestones
  • Ensure work complies with approved plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Identify risks, delays, and scope changes and develop mitigation and recovery plans
  • Participate in coordination meetings with designers, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Manage system closeout activities to ensure timely documentation and project turnover
  • Maintain adherence to safety standards exceeding industry requirements
  • Perform additional duties as required to support project delivery

Compensation is based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
