This position is responsible for delivering and supporting high quality, reliable and stable infrastructure technologies and security capabilities to Johnstone’s enterprise and e-business systems.   

Support

·         Documents and maintains all support procedures and provides training to level 1 and 2 support resources as needed.

·         Manages and monitors the health and performance of hosting environments to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of hosted services.

·         Works closely with vendor support to remediate issues in a timely fashion.

·         Provides 3rd level support as needed and serves as a go-to knowledge resource for hosting platforms.

Infrastructure

·         Planning, designing, evaluating, testing and integrating of system infrastructure.

·         Define and maintain standards related to the delivery of hosting platforms and hosted services.

·         Proactively review existing hardware, software, and services to recommend areas for improvement.

·         Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability by proactively monitoring all systems and infrastructure.

Systems Administration

·         Develop and maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies for hosting platforms.

·         Maintain Linux systems to include, build, test, deploy and update/patch.

·         Define and maintain standards related to the configuration and delivery of hosting platforms.

·         Develop and recommend automation tools and methodologies designed to deliver and maintain hosting platforms and associated services.

·         Troubleshooting and remediation, ensuring successful project implementation and performing post project support as needed.

Security

·         Ensures application and infrastructure architectural solutions are stable, secure and compliant with company standards and practices as well as legal/regulatory requirements.

·         Secures system by developing system access and monitoring control to identify possible intrusions.

General

·         Researches and recommends innovation in order to help the business grow.

·         Coach and mentor team members in order to develop effective team performance aligned with the goals of the organization.

·         Develops and maintains the strategic architecture related to the delivery of hosting platform services.

·         Assists management in annual budget preparation by researching and recommending new solutions as well as upgrades to existing infrastructure. 


Education and/or Experience:  Associate’s Degree from a university; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job-Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·         Knowledge of Local and Wide Area networks, server, and client administration.

·         Knowledge of and experience with the management and administration of Storage Area Network technologies.

·         Knowledge of Linux Server administration to include building, maintaining and scripting across various versions of Linux operating systems.

·         Knowledge of Windows Server administration to include building, maintaining and updating current version of the operating systems

·         Knowledge of the management and administration of VMWare environments.

·         Knowledge of and experience with the management and administration of Microsoft Azure hosted infrastructure.

·         Knowledge of and experience with the management and administration of Amazon Web Services hosted infrastructure.
