As a Solution Engineer Intern at Stonebranch, you'll play an active role in our mission to empower enterprises with modern IT automation and orchestration. You'll collaborate closely with experienced Solution Engineers to support technical evaluations, customer engagements, and proof-of-concept projects. Position Type and Expected Working Schedule
This is an internship position that is expected to last approximately 6 months, with the potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment at the end of the term based on performance and business needs. Priority will be given to candidates who are local to the Metro Atlanta area, who have recently graduated or will graduate within 6 months, and who are seeking a long-term opportunity.
This is a hybrid position - 3 days per week onsite, 2 days per week remote - and working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position is based out of our global Headquarters in Alpharetta, GA, and reports to the Lead Systems Engineer for the US.
Your Impact on The Organization
As a Solution Engineer Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our pre-sales efforts and ensuring customer success. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Support sales and solution engineers in customer interactions to help understand technical needs, business challenges, and automation requirements.
  • Work alongside the sales team and partner teams to analyze and understand customer requirements and help deliver customer-specific solutions.
  • Test and validate product integrations across various platforms and environments to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to customer requirements and use cases.
  • Develop and maintain customized integrations to enhance Stonebranch's product capabilities.
  • Document integration configurations, best practices, and technical solutions.
  • Support the sales and solution engineering teams in Proof of Concepts, such as answering the RFI (Request for Information) documents.

What You Will Bring to the Team
Technical Proficiency
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR working toward a degree in those fields.
  • Experience with Python programming, including writing scripts and developing integrations.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems; comfortable navigating and troubleshooting in both environments.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or OpenStack; exposure to containers or virtualization technologies is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of database technologies like Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, including database management concepts.
  • Exposure to web application servers (e.g., Tomcat) and programming languages such as Java or shell scripting.
  • Mainframe or IBM iSeries experience is a plus but not required.
