Job description

Position Description
KeyTrak, a division of Reynolds and Reynolds, is seeking an Access Control Solutions Designer to lead the research, design, and integration of commercial access control solutions. As the internal subject matter expert, you'll focus on access control hardware/software, smart systems, and integration with related security technologies. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are compliant, comprehensive, and delivered on schedule. This position requires up to 50% travel.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement smart access control systems, defining security goals and user experience requirements
- Review project drawings/specs to validate feasibility and alignment with business needs
- Develop and review system architectures, including door hardware, intrusion detection, and video surveillance
- Uphold security standards and best practices in every solution
- Monitor trends and recommend new technologies and vendors
Preferred Qualifications:
- Door hardware integration experience
- Familiarity with intrusion detection and video surveillance
- Project management experience
- Creative and innovative problem-solving skills
Requirements
Expertise in access control technology (hardware/software), including smart systems; 5+ years designing, configuring, implementing, or supporting commercial access control solutions; Technical degree preferred (engineering or related field); equivalent experience considered; Ability to interpret drawings/specs and translate into system designs; Strong communication and collaboration skills; Demonstrated expertise with door hardware that interfaces with electronic access control systems; Knowledge of leading hardware vendors and experience working with their application programming interfaces (APIs)
