Job Description
Reporting to the In Room Dining Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Maintain a professional presentation at all times
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by adhering to service standards as specified for In Room Dining
  • Assist employees as needed to ensure the best possible service
  • Ensure all special events and amenities are properly presented in accordance with guest and hotel specifications and standards
  • Maintain established controls for stock with pars and orders
  • Enforce Security controls (keys, lockdown, etc.) to include control of beverage stock
  • Assign side work and record attendance
  • Inspect staff as to uniforms, cleanliness, identification, etc.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for employees
  • Supervise all In Room Dining colleagues
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Must have minimum of 2 years' experience in Room Service.
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of Food & Beverage, incl. Wines and Liquors.
  • Must have strong PC skills in meeting administrative requirements.
  • Previous point of sale system experience required - Micros is an asset
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical Demands
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
