Job description

TBest Services is hiring a skilled Control Panel Builder to support our client, a leading manufacturer of custom control panels for industrial electronics and automation. This hands-on role involves building, wiring, and testing complete control systems, ensuring precision, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and wire control panels, junction boxes, multi-door enclosures, rack assemblies, and test panels.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings for accurate, high-quality builds.
  • Install and connect automation components including PLCs, breakers, relays, transformers, and terminal blocks.
  • Conduct functional and quality testing to ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards.
  • Route and label wiring neatly and professionally using heat shrink, terminal labels, and related methods.
  • Troubleshoot wiring and assembly issues; work with engineers and production leads to resolve problems.
  • Follow OSHA and company-specific safety protocols at all times.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of modifications, testing outcomes, and inspection records.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Panel Builder, Electrical Assembler, or Technician in electronics or industrial automation.
  • Strong understanding of control panel assembly, wiring practices, and electrical layouts.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with major automation platforms (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Eaton, Schneider Electric, ABB, etc.).
  • Experience with UL 508A standards preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
