Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Production Control Manager 1 based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.

What you will get to Do:

The manufacturing environment demands precision, strong data discipline, and a consistent focus on quality. The Production Control Manager will lead a team that supports the build and/or test of various products across multiple programs and business needs. Key responsibilities include daily time approval, executing the manufacturing resource planning schedule, meeting contractual requirements on schedule, and helping to establish production priorities within the manufacturing cells. The Production Control Manager will set goals and conduct performance reviews for their team, while leading the planning, coordination, and execution of material movement and production scheduling activities to ensure efficient, predictable, and timely operations. They will also focus on developing a highperforming team capable of meeting evolving business needs through active engagement, employee development initiatives, and clear, concise communication.

The Production Control Manager is also accountable for driving ontime delivery, optimizing workflow across the value stream, and maintaining strong alignment with onsite crossfunctional partners to support production schedules, capacity planning, and resolution of technical issues as they arise. These outcomes will be supported through data analysis and the application of standardized production methods and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and minimize cycle time across manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performance in a fastpaced, inventorycontrolled or similar manufacturing environment, with the ability to operate effectively under pressure and demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data, metrics, and dashboards to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive informed decisions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief leadership, collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and align crossfunctional stakeholders

  • Proven capability to coordinate workload, establish priorities, and align team members around common goals, milestones, and schedules

  • Strong computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software tools

Basic Qualifications for the Production Control Manager (M1):

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's degree with 3 or more years of relevant work experience; OR in lieu of a degree, 9 or more years of relevant work experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

  • US citizenship required

Preferred Qualificationsfor the Production Control Manager (M1):

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, manufacturing engineering, or other STEM areas

  • Experience with managing people or projects

  • Experience with SAP and GOLDesp or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  • Experience with Tableau reporting dashboards

  • Experience with Production Control, Scheduling, or Manufacturing Operations

  • Experience with Global Supply Chain, Material Management, or Logistics

  • Experience with Quality, Compliance, and Audit requirements within a manufacturing environment

  • Active Security Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $95,400.00 - $143,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
