Requirements

BFC is looking for a hardworking individual to complete daily field QC Sampling, Testing, Monitoring, and reporting on a drilling and Grouting and Cutoff Wall Construction project, in Rough River Dam, KY.


Job Summary

The project is a Drilling and Grouting, and Cutoff Wall on a Dam in the Rough River Dam area.

This is a long-term job. Applicants should be local. We are unable to offer relocation at this time.


Requirements

• A willingness to gain experience on a specialized jobsite with a unique technique.

• Ability to work on the field work as it may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel in particular).

• A strong work ethic.

• Conscientious work habits that include attention to detail, clear documentation, and communication skills

• Respectful team player and ethical behavior at all times.

• A willingness to accept and implement constructive feedback from managers within the company.

• Demonstrate initiative and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

• Clean driving record.


Supervisory Responsibilities

• None


Duties/Responsibilities

• Construction QC Monitoring and Testing.

• Collection and preparation of the grout, slurry and concrete material samples following a specific construction schedule, specification, and QC plan, with associated labelling, preservation methods.

• Field tests following specifications and QC plan.

• Creates digital and paper QC documentation associated with the field testing, sampling, and Cutter Soil Mixing execution.

• Ensures completeness of the documentation.

• Data collection and treatment on excel sheets, assessing drill performance and supporting field activities

• Various other QC field testing services as required

• Prepares daily activities reports and submits them to the QC manager/Project Manager.

• Expected to support team operations and play an integral part in the success of the project.

• Attending daily meetings as per project requirements.

• Adhere to safe practices, promotes BFC health and safety culture, maintains high work quality standards, and equipment maintenance.


Education and Experience:

• Some experience on geotechnical/foundations projects with drilling & Grouting, and Cutoff Wall technologies preferred.

• Experience as concrete/soil field engineering technicians strongly preferred. Preference will be given to candidates specializing in geotechnical, structural, or construction areas with project and/or office experience.

• Civil/geotechnical engineering graduates looking for site experience and a path to grow area encouraged to apply.
