This opportunity is in the Risk Control Department

The Risk Control Department comprises a diverse group of professionals with experience in insurance and private industry that thrive on helping meet customersโ€™ safety, technology, and overall risk management needs. Our approach is unique and flexible in how we interact with customers and broker partners as we collaborate on loss control projects to mitigate injuries and illness and help with compliance needs. Role Description

As a Risk Control Manager, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to our clients while helping drive profitable growth and book retention through innovative risk management strategies. You'll work independently to coordinate risk control services, educate clients on effective risk management practices, and partner closely with underwriting and other internal teams to deliver exceptional service. In this role, you'll leverage loss data and analytics, foster client relationships for the service team, identify and lead value added engagements for our clients and contribute thought leadership through industry presentations or published content. If you enjoy building relationships, collaborating across departments, and helping sophisticated clients proactively manage risk, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while representing Safety National's commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Degree and/or certifications in Safety Management or a related field preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of risk control or safety consulting experience.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to analyze loss information and utilize data analytics to develop risk management strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple departments while managing client relationships and risk control engagements.
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our Chicago Corporate Office, located at 311 S. Wacker Dr. Chicago, IL 60606. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree and/or certifications in Safety Management or a related field.
  • Some public entity risk management experience is a plus.
  • Large or enterprise sized account management experience
  • Industry designations such as ARM, ARM-P, CRM, CSP, or similar professional certifications.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise and thought leadership within risk management.
  • Experience with virtual presentation platforms such as Microsoft Teams, WebEx, or GoToWebinar.
  • Experience presenting at industry conferences or contributing professional articles.
