Job Summary

Under general supervision, adheres to proper procedures regarding the system management, replenishment, receipt, storage and distribution of inventory supplies and materials. Makes proper use of Lawson software relating to inquiry, research and processing functions in the management of inventory product. Compiles and maintains data as directed by Director/Manager of Materials Resource Management.

ย 1.Establishes appropriate levels of inventoried products, balancing inventory costs with adequate service levels (98% minimum fill rates).ย 

2.Creates vendor requisitions (orders for inventory products)ย 

3.Generates documentation related to additions, deletions and file maintenance of items in the Inventory Item Master for the hospital storeroom and par locations.ย 

4. Researches departmental supply backorders (updates orders status with vendors, communicates with departments and procurement)

5.Researches and resolves inventory variances identified by the Cycle Count Program.ย 

6.Resolves over shipments, under shipments, damaged shipments, merchandise not ordered and vendor returns with procurement and vendors.

7.Makes proper use of Lawson software relating to inquiry, research and processing functions.

8.Generates and prints documents used in the Stores Inventory Pick and Pack process.ย 

9.Handles department requests (inquiries, problems, pickups, stat requests, etc.).ย 

10. Provides guidance, training and backup for Stock Control Clerks.

11. Compiles with all customer service and process improvement philosophies. Understands and follows all hospital, health, human relations, federal, state and local safety, personnel and departmental policies, procedures, laws and guidelines.ย 

1. High school diplomas or equivalent.ย 

2. Two to three years of related experience managing the replenishment, receipt, storage and distribution of inventory supplies and materials.ย 

3. Previous experience with state of the art computerized inventory control systems.ย
