Job description

In this position, you’ll take ownership of programming, startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning of DDC-based Building Automation Systems. You’ll collaborate closely with mechanical contractors, engineers, technicians, and end users to ensure each system operates exactly as designed and delivers long-term value to the customer.
What You’ll Do

  • Build and program Niagara (Tridium) stations, databases, graphics packages, and DDC controller logic.
  • Develop control sequences based on project submittals and HVAC system design.
  • Perform system checkout, startup, testing, and full commissioning on BAS projects.
  • Review, verify, and revise submittal documentation to ensure accuracy before programming and field deployment.
  • Diagnose system issues, troubleshoot communication networks, and provide solutions that restore proper operation.
  • Complete service repairs, calibration, and adjustments on existing control systems.
  • Offer technical support and occasional training to field technicians and project teams.
  • Work with IP networks, integrations, and BACnet-based control architectures.
  • Use appropriate hand and power tools during commissioning and service tasks.

What You Need

  • 5+ years of experience programming complex HVAC DDC/BAS systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Niagara Tridium (Niagara 4 preferred) and BACnet controllers.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, wiring diagrams, and submittal packages.
  • Solid understanding of HVAC sequences of operation and control strategies.
  • General knowledge of IP networking and device communication.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Niagara Tridium N4
  • Distech GFX or similar manufacturer-specific credentials
