Job Description

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong Infrastructure background and not just the cloud, worked in an IT centric environment.
- Develop Infrastructure evolution roadmaps.
- Identify and assess technology trends and articulate technology recommendations in the areas of Cloud and Virtualization.
- Design and develop Integrated Private Cloud and Public Cloud Management through a Unified Cloud Management Platform
- Collaborate with IT security and ensure that Information Security and risk management are embedded within the overall architecture as it transitions to hybrid cloud environments. Drive coordination, consensus and execution to mitigate cyber risk issues and emerging threats in such a dynamic environment.
- Evangelize cloud and emerging virtualization capabilities with business, IT, Engineering, Operations and identification of opportunities.
Experience with containers (e.g. Docker), orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes) and the cloud platforms (e.g. OpenStack, AWS, GCE) is a MUST.
Experience with micro services architecture (PLUS) and automated deployment (MUST).
Experience with decomposing applications into micro-service based architecture (PLUS)
Strong understanding of operational aspects of SaaS model (MUST).
Understanding and experience on Service Oriented Architecture and RESTful interfaces (PLUS).
Prior exposure to designing with services and microservices for production is a big plus (PLUS).
Ability to move between multiple areas of responsibility including but not limited to presentation, business logic, persistence, performance, scalability, optimization, and integration (MUST).
Adapt at designing architecture based on open standards e.g., Docker, Chef, or Puppet etc. (MUST).
Designing highly available elastic cloud infrastructure, and system architectures (MUST).
Experience in integrating with external partners via RESTful APIs (PLUS).

Additional Skills:
*For scripting: Python would be a focus, because it is open source friendly

In the middle of defining strategy on new services
Cloud is a main focus on the team and the service
Explain the Business use cases of the cloud deployment
Be able to expand instantly, be scalable
Need people who have worked within the cloud environment w/AWS, Openstack, Azure, etc.
Private Cloud Experience is a plus (VMware, OpenStack)
Big Plus: Looking in the LA area with previous Video background, standards and protocols
Cloud Architecture- Not looking for Cloud Developers, but resources who have done Cloud architecture in the past and can do enhancements on the architecture.
