We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Leader to join us in the Los Angeles office and play a pivotal role in leading and growing our civil engineering team. The ideal candidate should be a licensed civil engineer with extensive experience in multi-disciplinary projects serving as a project manager. The role involves technical design, consulting, client engagement, and team leadership.
The Opportunity:
Manage complex multidisciplinary design projects, including oversight of the commercial, contractual, and technical aspects of the project.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients and collaborators.
Assisting preparation of proposals, bid submissions, and marketing activities.
Provide team support, guidance, and professional development through technical expertise and leadership.
Serve as senior technical reviewer and QA/QC leader for civil design projects.
Provide leadership, mentoring and career development for a team of civil engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence while building a climate of trust and openness within the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; Master's degree preferred.
12+ years of experience in civil engineering.
Professional Engineering license is required.
Deep knowledge of core civil engineering fundamentals such as stormwater management, low impact development solutions, utility design, grading and earthwork, roadway geometry, pavement design, and accessibility standards.
Experience delivering successful projects for local clients in the Los Angeles market. Knowledge of permitting processes for City of Los Angeles (LADBS, LABOE, and the various clearance divisions) and other Southern California cities is desired.
Experience managing project delivery and interfacing with project owners, contractors, and outside consultants while maintaining commitment to sustainable design practices.
Track-record of building and managing successful relationships with client organizations.
Demonstrable commercial acumen, business savvy, and leadership qualities.

Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Los Angeles is $150,000 to $200,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Los Angeles will differ.
