Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Sybase ASE/SQL databases and associated configurations in Azure environments.
- Optimize database performance, diagnose and resolve Sybase-related issues, and support cloud-hosted workloads.
- Implement and monitor database backup, recovery, and continuity strategies across Azure services.
- Support database refactoring and migration efforts from on-premises Sybase environments into Azure IaaS/PaaS architectures.
- Collaborate with ETL, reporting, and data quality teams to ensure consistency and reliable data flows.
- Apply Azure-native monitoring, automation, and security capabilities to Sybase workloads.
Minimum Requirements:
- Understanding of 8140 Cyber Security Compliance requirements and secure database handling practices.
- Strong hands-on experience with Sybase ASE/SQL development, administration, tuning, and troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Army Contractor experience
- Prior experience supporting Azure environment
