Lead the Future of Industrial Automation at CLX Engineering

Picture your week as the senior engineering leader at CLX Engineering. Monday morning, you review a live dashboard of KPIs and portfolio health before coaching your Engineering Managers through resourcing decisions and succession plans. By midday, you refine standards for design reviews and documentation that raise the quality bar across controls, SCADA, and robotics projects. Midweek, you’re on-site with a customer, unblocking a complex integration, aligning stakeholders, and reinforcing our technical governance. You close out the week aligning with Operations, PMO, Manufacturing, Sales, and Executive Leadership on capacity, forecasting, and growth initiatives—ensuring engineering execution tracks to operational, financial, and customer outcomes.

What You’ll Lead
  • People & Culture: Mentor Engineering Managers and technical leaders; build a high-accountability, high-collaboration culture centered on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Organizational Planning: Drive workforce planning, leadership development, and succession strategies that scale with business growth.
  • Performance System: Define expectations and institute KPIs and operational metrics for all engineering functions.
Strategy and Execution
  • Engineering Strategy: Set and execute a roadmap aligned to company objectives, from process standardization to capability expansion.
  • Operating Model: Standardize processes, tools, and best practices to elevate throughput, quality, and resource utilization.
  • Technology Enablement: Evaluate and implement platforms and systems that improve engineering efficiency and scalability.
Technical Governance and Quality
  • Ensure deliverables meet or exceed quality standards, contractual requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Institutionalize design reviews, documentation rigor, and technical governance across teams.
  • Provide hands-on leadership for critical projects, customer escalations, and complex technical challenges.
  • Advance consistency, risk management, and operational readiness across programs.
Business and Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Operations, PMO, Manufacturing, Sales, and Executives to align priorities and resources.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for staffing, capacity, forecasting, and growth.
  • Support customer engagements, executive technical reviews, and business development efforts.
  • Ensure engineering outcomes support operational efficiency, financial performance, and customer success.
Talent Development and Continuous Improvement
  • Lead recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance management for engineering leadership.
  • Develop future leaders and define technical career pathways.
  • Champion continuous improvement, structured knowledge sharing, and process optimization.
  • Ensure critical know‑how is documented and transferred effectively across the organization.
