We are seeking aData Engineering Internto support our data pipelines and database operations. This role is ideal for someone with foundational knowledge in Python and databases who is interested in working with congressional and political data.ย 

This internship is a part-time opportunity with compensation of $15.95 per hour.ย The positionย will be primarily in-person in North Bethesda, Maryland, with options for hybrid arrangements.ย The dates for the internship will beย Augย 31ย -ย Novย 20ย depending upon students' availability/ course schedule.ย ย

What we're looking for
  • Enrolled undergraduate student majoring in computer science, computer engineering, data science, or a related technical fieldย 
  • Basic knowledge ofPythonย 
  • Basic understanding ofSQL and relational databasesย 
  • Familiarity with data cleaning and transformation conceptsย 
  • Interest in U.S. congressional processes and legislative dataย 
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learnย 
Nice to Have
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and/orย Opensearchย
