Job description

Project Manager – Electrical & Instrumentation (Oil & Gas Construction)
Industry: Oil & Gas Construction / EPC Projects
Location: Waggaman, La
Duration: 1 year and could turn long term

Supporting: Grassroots Project

This role will coordinate between all parties (Spain, Japan, China).  Instrument, controls, panels, etc.  At least 10 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of E&I projects from planning through construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Lead site construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, resources, and progress.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for project-related matters.
  • Review and approve project plans, method statements, and technical documentation.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare progress reports and present project updates to management and clients.
  • Manage project variations, claims, and commercial aspects of the contract.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.  Experience in Lieu of degree
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation projects within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, or EPC environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, PLC, DCS, ESD, SCADA, and commissioning activities.
  • Refineries, Petrochemical Plants, LNG Facilities, Gas Processing Plants, Pipeline Projects, or Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas Construction.
