Production Engineer
Manufacturing Systems & Industrial Automation

We are seeking a Production Engineer with experience supporting manufacturing systems, industrial automation, production equipment, and tooling solutions in a production environment. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, evaluating equipment and tooling requirements, supporting production readiness, implementing process improvements, and driving efficiency, safety, quality, and reliability across the production system.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate production program and project requirements to develop equipment, tooling, and manufacturing system solutions that support operational objectives.
  • Design and implement complex equipment, tooling, automation, and robotics concepts to improve manufacturing efficiency and production performance.
  • Analyze technical data to assess impacts on product design, manufacturing processes, production rates, and system capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, robotics integration, advanced manufacturing technologies, and process improvements.
  • Ensure equipment and tooling designs comply with safety, ergonomic, maintainability, reliability, producibility, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support production readiness activities, including planning, validation, configuration management, preventive maintenance, and spare parts requirements.
  • Maintain configuration control of production equipment, hardware, software, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop and implement workarounds and corrective actions to minimize production disruptions and maintain operational performance.
  • Conduct reviews and validate contractual and production performance milestones.
  • Train production, maintenance, and operations personnel on equipment, tooling, and manufacturing system processes.
  • Perform studies and analyses related to manufacturing assets and provide recommendations for utilization, replacement, or disposition.
  • Collaborate directly with production teams, mechanics, safety personnel, maintenance organizations, and equipment services to support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in an engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting production systems in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of related professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience evaluating, designing, implementing, or supporting manufacturing equipment, tooling, automation systems, or production processes.
  • Ability to analyze technical data and develop solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and system performance.
  • Knowledge of production systems, manufacturing operations, process improvement methodologies, and configuration management principles.
  • Experience supporting safety, quality, reliability, maintainability, and regulatory compliance requirements within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working directly in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting industrial automation, robotics, advanced manufacturing technologies, or production equipment integration.
  • Experience collaborating with production operations, maintenance teams, safety organizations, and manufacturing support functions.
  • Experience leading or supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, throughput, and operational excellence.
