Monitoring, Control and Compliance, Inc. (MCC) is a subsidiary of LFG Service Partners, Inc. (LFGSP). We are a private company providing services to the solid waste industry since the company's start over 20 years ago. At MCC LFGSP, our focus is the operation and maintenance of landfill gas systems that are installed to reduce the emissions of Methane impacting our environment and provide for a “Green” energy source for our client’s end-users.

Core Functions

  • As a field technician with MCC you will provide operations and maintenance services for landfill gas collection systems, in order that they maintain maximum efficiency and compliant operation.
  • Routine on-site monitoring of system operations for compliance deadline and contractual requirements, as well as troubleshooting and diagnostics of system malfunctions.
  • Daily work for a field technician will be independent in nature and require communication with supervisors and clients to ensure project success.
  • Document daily activities, coordinates, communicates and verifies corrective actions in order to maintain continuous compliance.
  • Follows all company and project safety policies and procedures. Uses required personal protective equipment at all times and performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner. (safety boots, safety vest, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, chemical protection and H2S monitoring equipment).
  • Maintains cleanliness and upkeep of the company truck, all-terrain vehicle and all work areas.
  • Due to the nature of the collection systems, response to after-hours call outs is possible.


Requirements:

General Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, associate’s degree preferred
  • Proficient use of Windows and Windows Office software to include Excel, Outlook and Adobe.
  • Maintains daily logs and obtains readings in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, including the proficient and safe use of hand tools.
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to operate all-terrain vehicles in varying conditions.
  • Ability to speak and write professionally.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Organized self-starter with initiative
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment, as well as random, drug screens, background check and motor vehicle records check.


Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Previous landfill gas system operation experience or education is a plus for a field technician candidate.
  • Prefer knowledge/environmental sampling techniques.
  • Current OSHA 40 Hr. HAZWOPER.
  • Pipe fusion certificate
  • Knowledge of basic math, gas chemistry, piping and instrumentation drawings.
  • Electrical, Chemical and Mechanical experience.


Physical Requirements:

  • Able to think on your feet while pushing your physical limits.
  • 100% outside work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk long distances on all terrain
  • Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
  • Ability to work outdoors year-round in rugged terrain.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • The use of personal protective equipment (safety boots, safety glasses, safety vest and personal gas monitoring equipment) is required for daily activities.
