Description:

JOB TITLE: Director of Information Technology (IT)

DEPARTMENT: IT

REPORTS TO: NDC President or NDC Vice President Division Operations with duties spanning across the NDC companies.

POSITION SUMMARY: The IT Director will manage all technology operations, ensure infrastructure and systems are secure, compliant with federal regulations, and aligned with contractual requirements. The IT Director will oversee various IT staff (direct and indirect reports), manage budgets, and ensure that technology solutions meet requirements of the company’s DoD prime contracts and subcontracts

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • DoD Compliance and Security: Manage and implement System Security Plan (SSP) to ensure all systems comply with federal security regulations (e.g., NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, DFARS).
  • Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain secure technical infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud platforms
  • Contractual Deliverables: Collaborate with NDC company leadership and IT staff to meet contractual technology requirements, including data reporting and performance metrics.
  • Personnel Leadership: Hire, train, and lead a team of IT managers and technicians.
  • Strategy and Budgeting: Develop IT policies and budgets that align with company goals and DoD contract requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate cybersecurity threats to protect sensitive, unclassified, or classified data. Track and report metrics / KPIs and risk assessment to create plans for improvement and mitigation.
  • Manage External Communication: Act as primary point of contact for external auditors, C3PAO and DOD cyber security teams.
  • Security Operations Center: Lead Security Operations Center / Managed Detection and Response teams and partners to detect, contain and remediate threats.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Direct Reports:

  • AMTEC IT Manager
  • AMTEC IT Technician

Indirect Reports:

  • IT Managers of other NDC companies (4)

POSITION TYPE:

· This is a Salary Exempt full-time position.

TRAVEL:

Approximately 10%, primarily visits to other NDC companies

Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years’ experience in IT within a government contracting environment, with 5+ years in IT management role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and make recommendations on strategic initiatives
  • Ability to obtain and hold a Department of Defense security clearance
  • Ability to function in a small business environment.

Willing to take on the hot issues of the day and work them to a conclusion without relying on a fully loaded support staff.
  • Regulations – Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and related SMMC / NIST SP 800-171 regulations
