Job description

Your Tasks:
  • Lead domestic and international automotive projects from project launch through installation, commissioning, customer acceptance, and closeout.
  • Manage project scope, budget, schedule, financial performance, risks, and key milestones to achieve contractual and profitability objectives.
  • Serve as the primary customer liaison, building strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout project execution.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, logistics, suppliers, contractors, installation, and commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and implement recovery plans when timing or deliverables are at risk.
  • Monitor procurement and supplier activities to ensure materials, equipment, and subcontracted services support project requirements and timing.
  • Lead internal and customer project meetings, communicate project status and priorities, and drive timely resolution of action items.
  • Identify technical, operational, commercial, and financial risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project changes, ensuring technical requirements, schedule impacts, costs, and customer expectations are clearly documented and addressed.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining alignment with customer specifications, contractual requirements, and Dürr project standards.
Your Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 5–7 years of project management experience within automotive manufacturing, industrial automation, material handling, or a related environment.
  • Experience with General Assembly, final assembly, conveyance, End‑of‑Line systems, Fluid Fill systems, or comparable automotive manufacturing equipment.
  • Direct Fluid Fill or End‑of‑Line experience is a plus but not required; strong General Assembly or conveyance experience will be considered.
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls, and software engineering concepts associated with automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience managing industrial equipment projects involving engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, startup, and commissioning.
  • Familiarity with machinery design, pneumatics, hydraulics, tooling, automation, and related manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, contracts, and customer requirements.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, including budgets, forecasting, cost management, and profitability.
  • Strong customer‑facing communication, leadership, negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project; experience with ERP/MRP systems and SAP is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20–30%, including internationally.
