Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Senior Analyst to join the Legal Department's Data Protection, IP & AI team. This role provides critical support across multiple workstreams within the firm's Enterprise AI Activation initiative, helping to ensure that T. Rowe Price adopts and deploys artificial intelligence in a responsible, compliant, and riskaligned manner.
The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of law, emerging technology, data protection, and enterprise governance. They will work closely with attorneys, technologists, risk management professionals, and business stakeholders to advance the firm's approach to AI governance and oversight.

Responsibilities
AI Intake & Legal Review:
- Participate in evaluations of AIrelated initiatives and use cases submitted to the AI Governance & Enablement Committee through its enterprise AI risk review intake process.
- Assist in identifying legal, regulatory, intellectual property, proprietary information, & data protection, and contractual risks associated with proposed use cases.
- Support enhanced review activities and lifecycle monitoring programs for complex or highimpact AI use cases.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the firm's AI legal risk review program, including research, analysis, and documentation supporting legal assessments.
AI Vendor Onboarding & Lifecycle Enablement:
- Support AI vendor onboarding by reviewing AI specific contract provisions and collaborating with Legal, Procurement, and business partners.
- Provide timely, well-reasoned guidance to internal stakeholders regarding onboarded AI vendors throughout the lifecycle of the system.
- Conduct contractual gap analyses to mitigate risks associated with the evolving AI regulatory landscape.
Responsible AI Program:
- Support efforts to mature AI risk and control capabilities in alignment with regulatory expectations and T. Rowe Price policies.
- Assist in drafting and maintaining policies, procedures, guidelines, and job aids related to responsible and compliant use of AI.
- Conduct regulatory horizon scanning and support benchmarking efforts across global jurisdictions.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and maturity of the firm's AI Governance Framework, including regulatory compliance assessments and readiness initiatives.
AI Platform & Architecture Program Enablement:
- Collaborate with data, engineering, and governance teams to review data related contracts and develop legally compliant data strategies, ensuring appropriate rights and licenses for downstream use cases.
- Support the AI Data Readiness program by evaluating legal requirements related to data usage, data quality, data lineage, and cross border data transfers.
- Provide legal and operational research to help ensure the firm's AI platforms and data practices align with applicable laws, enterprise standards, and contractual obligations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 5+ years of total relevant work experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree required preferred
- 4+ years of relevant experience in legal, privacy, data protection, intellectual property, technology governance, compliance, or risk management
- Strong understanding of privacy and data protection frameworks, data licensing, and intellectual property laws
- Experience supporting legal or compliance functions in an AI, data, or technology governance context
- Knowledge of emerging AI regulatory frameworks and responsible AI principles
- Experience reviewing policies, contracts, or technical documentation and translating requirements into actionable guidance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with crossfunctional teams
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Background in technology transactions, vendor assessments, or data management programs
- Familiarity with operational risk and control frameworks within a regulated industry
- Experience advising clients within the asset management/financial services sector

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
