Registered Nurse Job Requirements
  • Active Massachusetts RN license
  • Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
  • Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Circulation, and Newborn Care
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current NRP certification
  • Current EFM certification, renewed every 2 years for Labor & Delivery
  • AHA ACLS preferred
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings and nights as needed
  • Strong clinical judgment and a patient-centered approach to maternity care
Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, compassionate care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
  • Support active labor patients, including those requiring magnesium therapy or epidural monitoring
  • Circulate for deliveries and assist with unit procedures as needed
  • Deliver newborn care and support early stabilization and transition after birth
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, anesthesia, and the broader maternity team
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
  • Adapt to a fast-paced unit with varying patient acuity and census levels
  • Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on excellent maternal-newborn outcomes
