Job description

Schedule: Monday – Friday, additional hours as needed based on business necessity

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Measurement Analyst supports the Measurement function of the Company by monitoring, editing, and reporting measurement data to assure accurate and complete information is available to both internal and external customers.

  • Monitors incoming gas and liquids volume and quality data to assure accuracy and completeness.
  • Works with IT, Communications, and Measurement Technicians to resolve missing data issues.
  • Utilizes Producer data, historical data, flow patterns, and measurement experience to estimate custody transfer data that cannot be recovered.
  • Reviews hourly and daily volume data from meters.
  • Assures proper configuration of new meters in the measurement system, based upon contractual terms.
  • Uses historical data, and knowledge of natural gas properties, to evaluate incoming gas quality data to assure that it is reasonable and representative. Coordinates with the field on resolving sample issues.
  • Maintain, generate, and distribute various reports needed to evaluate the accuracy of measurement data.
  • Compiles and evaluates incoming “third party” measurement data and assures its agreement with check measurement data, where applicable.
  • Maintains, reports, and troubleshoots system balances.
  • Evaluates incoming meter calibration data to determine if a current or prior period adjustment is required by the contract and determines the appropriate course of action.
  • Utilizes advanced measurement knowledge and troubleshooting tools to perform Prior Period Adjustments, creating the required documentation for Accounting controls and Accounting settlements.  
  • Provides support, guidance, and training for less experienced measurement analysts. Coordinates the monthly close process for measurement data, assuring the data has been successfully transferred to downstream Accounting systems 
  • Additional duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience preferred.
  • FlowCal experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office

Working Conditions: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
  • Occasional driving may be needed to travel to Kinetik plants and worksites as needed
  • Available outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessity

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above.
  • Will require lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 15 lbs. in a safe manner on an occasional basis
