Be a part of something special!Position OverviewThe selected person will serve as a team member and representative for NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP)'s Contracting Team. This member will provide support to leadership and the appropriate civil servant(s) with all team activities. The Contracting Member will support SEWP leadership with pre- and post-award contracting documentations and help resolve any issues that may impact the NASA SEWP Program Management Office (PMO) while executing processes in support of the overall activities of the team. The Contracting Team prepares and monitors relevant documentation in accordance with federal regulations for the administration of SEWP contract holders' contracts, including contract awards, modifications, evaluations, novations and sub k plans. Tier 2 Contract Administrator manages complex federal acquisitions, drafts subcontracts, and process novation modifications. This role requires strong knowledge of procurement regulations, risk mitigation and cradle to grave contract lifecycle management. The selected member will support the activities of the team to best support the SEWP customer in a timely and accurate fashion, providing advice, assistance, and proactive recommendations regarding SEWP programs and initiatives and respond to other team members on activities and functional responsibilities.The position will serve at the NASA SEWP Program Management Office (PMO) in Greenbelt, MD and travel to customer site(s) in the Washington DC metropolitan area and/or at federal agency sites (primarily within the continental United States) as needed, with the majority of time spent at the Greenbelt, MD office. Core ResponsibilitiesSupport SEWP leadership, including contractor management and corresponding civil servants(s) with execution of the day-to-day activities of the teamLead the administration of high-value, high risk contracts in the modification processProcess complex corporate changes and novation modification agreements by gathering required legal and financial documentationDraft, issue and manage subcontracts and contract holder performance trackingReview complex modifications, work with legal, finance with civil servant members to resolve contractual issuesProvide general assistance and support to SEWP civil servant contracting staff in accordance with the FAR and NASA contracting regulations, including drafting/reviewing/filing documents, monitoring of vendor responses, and data entry, preparation, and managementRespond to team needs and activities and make recommendations to SEWP leadershipWork with other SEWP teams to follow up on outstanding issues, projects, and opportunitiesUnderstand and report on NASA contracting practices, trends, and requirementsUtilize familiarity with solicitation trends specific to the SEWP program in support of Contracting staff and needsProvide tactical, hands-on SEWP support in the preparation and management of contracting documentation and informationDetailed understanding of SEWP processes, particularly the rules and procedures for contract holdersAssist SEWP staff with contract administration data and documentation requirements and procedures with Contract HoldersDevelop an understanding of the SEWP program and related toolsAttend and participate in SEWP meetings and report relevant information to leadershipAbility to travel locally (up to 60%) / within CONUS (up to 25%) post travel restrictionsServe as a liaison and support for internal teams and Contract Holders (CHs) regarding status of contract actionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline project delivery while managing key CH relationshipsUtilize Service Now System to monitor deadlines and contract deliverables in a timely mannerDraft, review and execute modifications and ensure all modifications comply with FARBuild and maintain file repository for all contract actions for each CH;
