Job description

Primary Care Sports Medicine Opportunity in Elk Grove, CA with Kaiser Permanente

Kaiser Permanente Sports Medicine - Elk Grove Promenade

This is a 1.0 FTE position practicing full-scope sports medicine in an independent Sports Medicine Department within a multi-specialty Sports Medicine Center located at the Elk Grove Promenade facility in Elk Grove, CA.

Candidates will need Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Med/Peds, or PM&R, and completion of an accredited Sports Medicine Fellowship required (CAQ preferred). Proficiency in common point of care musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnostics and procedures is required. You will work alongside one other Sports Medicine physician and in close collaboration physical therapy. This position also falls under our Greater Sacramento Sports Medicine department, which includes 4 other Sports Medicine physicians throughout the Sacramento valley and or Sport Related Concussion Program based at our downtown Sacramento, CA facility. We maintain close ties with local junior colleges and universities in the greater Sacramento and Davis areas.

We are affiliated with a Family Medicine residency and would expect engagement with residents and medical students rotating within our department. Significant opportunities exist for both GME and CME teaching. No call or Urgent Care responsibilities.

The Permanente Medical Group has a robust sports medicine program consisting of over 100 sports medicine physicians and providing care to six professional sports teams as well as numerous universities, colleges, and high schools.

Details:
Full-time annual salary range is $325,920 to $336,000 plus additional potential incentives up to $25,300*. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available. *Some incentive opportunities are estimates based on potential premium pay.
