Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance


Work Schedule: Onsite daily in Jordan with regional travel within the area.


Role Overview:

The FSRs will work as an integrated team of technicians, for our Government client supporting the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of MWR Global Internet Connect Program (ICP) platform locations throughout designated areas of responsibility. This is a 24x7x365 environment requiring overseas deployment. The primary location will be in Iraq and Jordan with frequent travel throughout Southwest Asia. Additional TDY assignments may include travel to Europe, Africa, and South America.


MWR ICP is a satellite and terrestrial communications program providing deployed US service members, support staff, and contractors with Internet access at deployed locations throughout the world. Linchpin Solutions is looking for FSRs with the ability to navigate the deployed environment, resolve service problems, perform maintenance; and install, configure, and test VSAT and terrestrial internet services in military-deployed areas of operation.

Specific Skillset

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of deployed systems.
  • Install, inventory, test, and modify equipment as required.
  • Cable networks, including but not limited to, VSAT, baseband, LAN, and wireless devices IAW established standards and Government approved design, fabrication, and installation specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair VSAT, LAN, and wireless hardware.
  • On call 24x7 to provide onsite support and respond to trouble calls utilizing convoys, MilAir and commercial travel throughout the region.
  • Coordinate the introduction of new MWR ICP technologies and equipment.

Requirements:

Education & Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Engineering or other technical field is preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Knowledge of VSAT communication equipment.
  • IP fundamentals, Cisco routing, and firewall technology knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite applications.
  • Basic network protocols, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Basic computer troubleshooting and repair.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or under general direction

Preferred Experience

  • iDirect modem experience
  • In-theatre air travel knowledge
  • Military signal or telecommunications background
  • Understanding of military organizations and Infantry/Combined Arms operations
  • Prior experience working overseas is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Visa process and movements for in-theater locations such as Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Jordan.

Special Requirements

  • Will be required to travel frequently by MilAir, ground convoys, and other modes of Military transportation sometimes experiencing extensive delays and hostile combat environments.
  • Ability to live and work in a deployed contingency environment (shared cafeteria, shared bath and sleeping quarters, limited amenities)
  • Working understanding of Army/Marine Corps logistic forms policy and procedures and understanding of basic military concepts.
  • Possess a current United States Passport valid at least until 2026.
  • Possess a valid United States Driver's License in good standing.
