This facility is part of Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans through Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. The organization provides vital services across the country with flexible scheduling options for healthcare providers.
Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans• Current openings in West Virginia: Gassaway (1 day per week) and Nutter Fort (1 day per week) within 50-mile radius• Provider must have their own office for seeing Veterans• PRN basis, ongoing opportunity• Option to work half days (4-hours) or full days (8-hours)• One-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments• Primarily interview-based with some physical assessment including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing• No prescribing or treatment responsibilities• Quick credentialing and onboarding process• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)• Requires AANP certification• Must maintain active and unrestricted full license• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified• Follow-up administrative work required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics)• Weekends can be accepted but are not required
