What are Contractor FedEx Ground Drivers?

Contractor FedEx Ground Drivers are professional delivery drivers who work for independent contractors that have contracts with FedEx Ground, rather than being employed directly by FedEx. Their main responsibility is to pick up and deliver packages to homes and businesses along assigned routes. These drivers typically use company-provided vehicles and must meet certain safety and performance standards set by both their employer and FedEx Ground. The role involves loading and unloading packages, interacting with customers, and ensuring timely deliveries. Requirements often include a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to handle physical work.

The process involves submitting an application, completing interviews, and passing background checks, after which you can negotiate a contract to operate a route with FedEx Ground.

The role offers potential for income based on route efficiency and workload, but it also involves significant startup costs, vehicle maintenance, and operational risks.
