These drivers typically use company-provided vehicles and must meet certain safety and performance standards set by both their employer and FedEx Ground. The role involves loading and unloading packages, interacting with customers, and ensuring timely deliveries. The process involves submitting an application, completing interviews, and passing background checks, after which you can negotiate a contract to operate a route with FedEx Ground.
