Facilities Director
Description
The Facilities Director provides leadership and oversight for all facility operations, maintenance, event support, security systems, and facilities personnel. This individual is a servant leader who takes ownership, communicates proactively, develops people, and ensures Plum Creek's facilities remain safe, welcoming, and ministry ready. This position reports directly to the Executive Pastor of Discipleship & Operations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for Facilities Team members and contributors.
  • Oversee all facility operations, maintenance, repairs, and campus readiness.
  • Manage building access systems, security measures, office phones, and related facility technologies.
  • Oversee facility contracts, vendors, inspections, utilities, and operational budgets.
  • Establish and maintain operational standards, processes, and quality expectations.
  • Carry out the church's message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and our mission of Changed Lives, Changing Lives.

Requirements & Skills
  • Demonstrates initiative, ownership, and sound judgment with the ability to work independently and move projects forward without constant supervision.
  • Experience with property management is highly desirable.
  • General construction knowledge and experience.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Mac preferred)
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, documentation, and communication.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve.
  • Dependable, professional, discreet, and trustworthy.
  • Effective problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Physically capable to lift/maneuver heavy items, including moving furniture, equipment, supplies and tools as needed.

Job specific responsibilities & tasks
Facilities
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair activities for all Plum Creek Community Church properties, including resident houses.
  • Assign, monitor, and evaluate work performed by Facilities Team members and contracted maintenance and custodial providers.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment purchases.
  • Ensure all event setup and teardown requirements are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
  • Oversee building access systems, including key control, alarm codes, and electronic access permissions.
  • Coordinate required inspections and ensure compliance with facility related regulations and standards.
  • Manage utilities, waste services, and related vendor relationships for church properties and resident homes.
  • Coordinate police presence for designated events and services.
  • Develop and manage the Facilities budget, including maintenance, repairs, contracts, utilities, and capital improvement projects.

Contributor Teams
  • Provide leadership and vision for the Set-up & Tear Down Team
  • Oversee contributor recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and recognition.

Office Management
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Plum Creek and IT, security, fire protection, and related facility service providers.
  • Management of the office phone system

Anticipated Time Commitments
  • 40 hours/week
    • Hours may include evenings and weekends on an as needed basis.
    • Hours include working 1 weekend a month

Evaluation Process
  • 90 day performance assessment and on-going biannual performance assessment
