Job description

Position Title:                                               Maintenance Apprentice Worker – 3rd Shift
Department:                                                 Maintenance
Reports To:                                                   Chris Phelps
FLSA Status:                                                Non-Exempt
Shift:                                                             3rd Shift (Overnight Hours)

Function:

Provide maintenance support for the start-up, operation, and upkeep of buildings and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.

  • Repair powered hand tools.

  • Conduct equipment and building repairs or modifications as needed.

  • Assist with troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment.

  • Carry out basic facility maintenance, including sheetrock, plumbing, and pneumatic systems.

Requirements:
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and pneumatic equipment.

  • Knowledge of basic electrical systems preferred; competency with a multi-meter is a plus.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Skilled trades education and/or hands-on maintenance experience preferred.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Bilingual language skills are a plus.
