Travel CT Technologist (Contract)
Location: Cedar Falls, IA
Term: 13-week assignment with potential extension
Shift: 3x12-hour shifts

  • Schedule: Weekends – Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Compensation:

  • Taxable Wages: $792/week
  • Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,246/week
  • Total Gross Weekly Pay (Based on 36 hours): $2,038

Position Overview:

This weekend-based travel CT Technologist role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to bring their skills to a new setting. The technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality CT imaging, ensuring patient safety, and supporting diagnostic outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review physician orders and imaging requisitions to confirm the correct procedure
  • Retrieve and review prior relevant exams for radiologist reference
  • Educate and prepare patients for procedures, obtain consent, and explain imaging processes
  • Position patients correctly and apply immobilization devices when needed
  • Set and adjust technical parameters to capture diagnostic-quality images
  • Operate CT imaging equipment according to established clinical protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked work area
  • Utilize radiation safety measures including shields, lead aprons, and gloves
  • Perform venipuncture to administer contrast agents and monitor for adverse reactions
  • Assess patient condition during procedures and respond to complications appropriately
  • Communicate urgent or stat results to medical staff as required
  • Support training of radiology students and assist in onboarding new technologists
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development

Required Qualifications:

  • ARRT certification with CT registry
  • Active state license (must be valid at time of hire)
  • Minimum of 2 years of CT experience
  • Availability for weekend shifts (Saturday–Monday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM)
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
