Job description

About the Job
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Facility-Based | Braintree, MA | Part-Time 1099 | $42 Per Visit.
Stern at Home Therapy is hiring a Part-Time 1099 Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide one-on-one physical therapy treatments at a single facility in Braintree, MA.
Earn $42 per 3-unit visit while working with an established caseload at one location. There is no driving between patients, no need to build your own caseload, and no pressure to take on more hours than you want.
This opportunity is ideal for a licensed PTA looking for consistent part-time contract work, flexible scheduling, and the convenience of treating patients at one established facility with remote Physical Therapist supervision.
What You'll Do:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Stern at Home Therapy, you will provide one-on-one physical therapy treatments to an established patient population at a single facility in Braintree.
You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist who provides remote clinical oversight and establishes each patient's plan of care. PTAs do not perform evaluations in this role, allowing you to focus on providing treatments and helping patients progress toward their established goals.
Responsibilities include:
  • Provide one-on-one physical therapy treatments at a single facility.
  • Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Work closely with the remote supervising PT regarding patient progress, changes in condition, and treatment recommendations.
  • Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, safety, and overall function.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Communicate with patients, families, supervising PTs, and members of the care team.
  • Manage your treatment schedule with support from our administrative team.
Compensation:
  • $42 per 3-unit visit.
  • 1099 independent contractor position.
Why Join Stern at Home Therapy?
  • Earn $42 per 3-unit visit.
  • Work at one established facility with no driving between patients.
  • Begin with an existing caseload instead of building one from scratch.
  • Consistent patient availability and established referral flow.
  • Flexible part-time scheduling built around your availability.
  • No pressure to expand your hours beyond what works for you.
  • One-on-one patient care.
  • Remote Physical Therapist supervision and clinical support.
  • Dedicated administrative support for scheduling and patient coordination.
Qualifications:
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Massachusetts required.
  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required.
  • Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote supervising Physical Therapist.

Apply Today:
If you're a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant looking for consistent part-time contract work at one facility, an established caseload, flexible scheduling, and no driving between patients, we'd like to hear from you.
