Workers typically receive a set salary, may have benefits like housing or travel allowances, and are expected to fulfill the contract duration. Jobs for contract workers overseas include a variety of work with the federal government, various military agencies, and private agencies that contract with the US or foreign governments. Your duties depend on whether you are a civilian contractor or a military contractor.
