JOB SUMMARY
The Treasury Services Sales Representative will be responsible for development and retention of the Cash/Treasury Management business for the bank. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with assigned relationship managers and other sales partners in a consultative selling role. This individual will be responsible for developing sales plans for key customer accounts, developing and executing regular calling programs with both existing and potential clients, and analyzing customer needs. They will be expected to manage the sales cycle from initial contact to closing the business, and to collaborate with eBanking partners on installation, setting up and training the customer on the products and services sold. As the Treasury expert the sales representative will be expected to provide or facilitate training on cash management products and services to relationship managers and other partners as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Proactively perform full sales cycle by making sales calls to promote the bank's treasury offerings through cold calling, lead generation and referrals from existing customers as well as bank staff.
  • Support the Commercial Bank's efforts in analyzing deposit relationships with both existing and prospective relationships. Perform financial analyses using bank statements, merchant statement and/or account analysis statements to compare with the competitors.
  • Review and analyzes current and potential business relationship and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Prepare appropriate documentation and agreements relative to cash management products and services in accordance with the bank's policies and procedures.
  • Provide ongoing training to bank personnel for recognizing cash management, credit cards, and merchant services prospects, and to support product knowledge efforts. Participate in Branch Manager, and Lender sales meeting as needed to generate leads, excitement and awareness of the bank's product offerings.
  • Prepare RFP's, business banking proposals and account reviews. Including actively seeking out and responding to Requests for Proposal (RFP) opportunities.
  • Monitor and record ACH risk limits and Remote Deposit velocity limits in conjunction with relationship managers and the Digital Banking team.
  • Other duties and tasks as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred:
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
  • One or two years of experience and/or training related to Treasury Service
  • Sales experience and ability to meet sales goals
  • One or two years of retail and/or operations banking experience
  • Math and/or accounting skills (i.e. calculating percentages, discounts and interest)

Required:
  • One or more years of customer service experience and excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers and employees; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Experience operating a fax machine, copier, 10-key calculator and postage meter.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to provide the appropriate level of customer support.
