Job Title: Carpenter/General Construction Worker

Job Description

This role focuses on performing carpentry repairs, general maintenance, and cleaning duties in a fast-paced shop and yard environment. You will work both independently and as part of a service team to refurbish trailers, maintain facilities, and support basic electrical, plumbing, and minor HVAC tasks while prioritizing safety at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely at all times and actively participate in maintaining a strong safety culture, including attending regular safety meetings.
  • Perform carpentry repairs on floors, walls, roofing, siding, windows, fixtures, and related structures as needed.
  • Inspect basic electrical systems and wiring and assist with minor electrical tasks as required.
  • Assist and train with the service team on refurbishment activities, including trailer servicing and repairs.
  • Clean trailers thoroughly, including buffing floors, wiping down walls, counters, fixtures, and doors.
  • Clean and maintain all windows, walls, ceilings, fixtures, and doors in the shop and trailers.
  • Keep the shop and work areas clean and organized, including inside the building, the yard, lawn, and parking lot.
  • Perform regular inventory checks, monitor supply levels, and place orders as needed to support operations.
  • Operate and maintain a floor buffer and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to perform carpentry, repair, and maintenance tasks.
  • Support basic plumbing, minor HVAC, and welding tasks when needed, depending on skill level.
  • Work independently with a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • Handle physical aspects of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in varying weather conditions.

  • Flexibility to adjust work hours, including early morning start times depending on seasonal needs.

Standard hours are approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with two 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch, and during summer months the schedule may shift to around 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., so some flexibility with hours is required. You will regularly use hand and power tools, floor buffers, and basic computer tools to support your work. The dress code includes steel-toe boots, work pants, and a t-shirt. The company provides safety glasses, gloves, and a safety vest (orange for the first 30 days), supporting a professional, safety-oriented work setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
