Job Summary:Three Way ISD is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic educator to teach Reading and Social Studies to our combined 1st and 2nd grade classes. We are a small rural district with a strong sense of community and a growing commitment to high-quality instruction and student success. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early literacy, create engaging cross-curricular experiences, and embrace the opportunities of a 4-day instructional week.
Responsibilities:- Design and deliver high-quality reading and social studies instruction aligned with the TEKS.
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners in a multi-grade classroom.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that encourages student growth and curiosity.
- Integrate literacy across content areas and provide opportunities for students to build background knowledge, vocabulary, and comprehension.
- Utilize assessment data to inform instruction and monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with grade-level and campus teams to support instructional planning, RTI, and campus goals.
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom activities.
- Incorporate technology, hands-on learning, and research-based practices into daily instruction.
- Support district initiatives and attend professional development aligned to campus and district priorities.
- Participate in campus events, school-wide programs, and community engagement opportunities.
Qualifications:- Valid Texas teaching certificate (EC-6 or appropriate certification)
- Strong foundation in the science of reading and early childhood development
- Experience with small group instruction and progress monitoring
- Ability to manage a multi-grade classroom with creativity and organization
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to student achievement and continuous improvement
