Location: Three Way ISD - A small 1A district committed to building excellence through exceptional experiences that empower learners for life.
Schedule: Four-day school week (Monday-Thursday)
Grade Levels: 1st and 2nd Grade
Subject Areas: Reading and Social Studies

Job Summary:
Three Way ISD is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic educator to teach Reading and Social Studies to our combined 1st and 2nd grade classes. We are a small rural district with a strong sense of community and a growing commitment to high-quality instruction and student success. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early literacy, create engaging cross-curricular experiences, and embrace the opportunities of a 4-day instructional week.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver high-quality reading and social studies instruction aligned with the TEKS.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners in a multi-grade classroom.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that encourages student growth and curiosity.
  • Integrate literacy across content areas and provide opportunities for students to build background knowledge, vocabulary, and comprehension.
  • Utilize assessment data to inform instruction and monitor student progress.
  • Collaborate with grade-level and campus teams to support instructional planning, RTI, and campus goals.
  • Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom activities.
  • Incorporate technology, hands-on learning, and research-based practices into daily instruction.
  • Support district initiatives and attend professional development aligned to campus and district priorities.
  • Participate in campus events, school-wide programs, and community engagement opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate (EC-6 or appropriate certification)
  • Strong foundation in the science of reading and early childhood development
  • Experience with small group instruction and progress monitoring
  • Ability to manage a multi-grade classroom with creativity and organization
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to student achievement and continuous improvement
