Job description

Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the vibrant community near New Berlin, WI. This rewarding contract runs from ASAP until Thanksgiving break, offering an immediate opportunity to make a difference for young learners. With a 20-hour per week schedule across two school sites, you’ll collaborate closely with teachers and staff to support the needs of your elementary caseload.

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Current state licensure as a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Experience in a pediatric or K-12 educational setting, particularly elementary-aged students
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach
  • Adaptability in a dynamic, multi-site school environment

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments and delivering targeted OT services based on student needs
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with school teams
  • Maintaining accurate case notes, documentation, and timely communication with stakeholders
  • Attending and contributing to IEP meetings as appropriate
  • Supporting students to increase independence and participation in school routines

This opportunity may expand to full-time hours until Thanksgiving break. Additionally, there’s potential to extend your contract through a part-time opening for the remainder of the school year in a neighboring district, as discussed with the director.
