Job description

Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.), active Audiolist license and 1+ years Audiologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a vital role supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students during a 12-week maternity leave coverage. This onsite, contract position offers the chance to provide comprehensive audiological services within a school setting from late August through Thanksgiving break. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate, support, and plan for students with hearing needs across various educational environments.

What You'll Bring:

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Master’s Degree in Audiology
  • Active Michigan Audiology License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)
  • Preferred 3–5 years of experience in pediatric and/or educational audiology
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to connect with families, staff, and medical professionals

Your Impact:

  • Conduct audiological assessments and educational evaluations for DHH students to assess auditory and communication skills
  • Partner with clinical audiologists and ENT specialists for necessary medical documentation and Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT) clearances
  • Guide families through clinical follow-up and interpretation of recommendations
  • Clearly explain evaluation results to educators, school staff, and parents to support student success
  • Offer consultation to educational teams regarding the academic impact of hearing loss
  • Participate with the Early On Team supporting DHH children from birth through age 3, including occasional home visits

This contract role offers the unique opportunity to make a tangible difference for students and their families, shaping educational plans and expanding your expertise within a supportive environment.

If you’re passionate about ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive and meet the qualifications above, apply today to help enrich the educational experience for DHH students this fall.
