Job description

Position Overview

A growing telecommunications infrastructure organization is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Specialist to support warehouse operations and inventory management. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating material distribution for project teams, receiving and tracking materials, and ensuring warehouse organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with project managers, field supervisors, and vendors.

This position is open due to the need for dedicated inventory oversight and warehouse coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly inventory counts and inventory audits within the inventory management system.
  • Coordinate with project managers to prepare materials needed for field crews.
  • Pick, stage, and organize materials for aerial and underground construction teams.
  • Communicate daily with project managers and field supervisors regarding material usage and transfers.
  • Maintain warehouse and yard organization, ensuring materials are properly labeled and easy to locate.
  • Transfer and allocate materials to the appropriate projects within the inventory management system.
  • Process material check-ins and check-outs on a daily basis.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for material requests and replenishment needs.
  • Help maintain an organized warehouse and storage yard.
  • Learn to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and front-end loaders.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, material handling, or a related field.
  • Experience working with construction, telecommunications, utility, or infrastructure materials is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
