Telecom Infrastructure Networks Maintenance Consultant (Octel voice messaging system)

Job Description:
ย ย ย  Assists with the design, development and maintenance of the computer and network infrastructure.
ย ย ย  Typically has at least 3 years experience and professional degree.
ย ย ย  Maintains and supports existing telecom infrastructure and all newly integrated telecom systems, such as Octel voice messaging system.
ย ย ย  May require knowledge of various PBX systems and be able to support complex custom software.

Duties & Responsibilities:ย 

Document end-to-end networking solutions to support global deployment of Network services including global backbone WAN, Metro, and Data Center LAN.

Qualifications
Requirements:
ย ย ย  Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, both written and verbal, required
ย ย ย  Customer-first attitude
ย ย ย  At least three years of recent experience with a common high-level programming or scripting language. (Python, Perl, Shell, Ruby, JS, PHP, etc.)
ย ย ย  Experience in automation and management at scale a huge plus (e.g. Devops)
ย ย ย  Adept with Cisco IOS and its variants, specifically the ability to read, write, and explain command-line level detail.
ย ย ย  Strong understanding of routing fundamentals
ย ย ย  Strong understanding of distance-vector, link-state, and path-vector routing fundamentals
ย ย ย  Strong understanding of switching fundamentals
ย ย ย  Proficient at troubleshooting complex, multi-node issues
ย ย ย  Knowledge in architecting and/or managing large-scale networking solutions
ย ย ย  CCNP, JNCIS , or greater level of knowledge
