The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) TADIL Analyst is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting tactical datalinks and infrastructure on the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN). The candidate will support the operation and maintenance of Link-16 and associated systems across different classification levels and ensure continuous network connectivity is maintained to customers and sites. This position will be in the Naval Aviation Warfare Development Center (NAWDC) Joint Control Facility (JCF). The JCF functions as the event support floor for controlling, umpiring, and evaluation of tactical training. This includes coordination with Navy and Naval Warfare Center Corona (NSWC) entities. Essential Job Responsibilities Provides operational and maintenance support for all computer information services, data processing hardware and software related to Multi-Tactical Data Link (TDL). Accomplishes assigned tasks independently in accordance with overall project objectives and requirements. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all computer information services, data processing hardware and software related to Tactical Data Link (TDL) Systems. Responsible for system remediation and maintaining systems compliances with DOD Information Assurance (IA) and Information Technology (IT) requirements. Capable of maintaining and repairing PC workstations and laptop computers. Provides software maintenance and upgrades to include the installation of new applications, debugging, and checkout. Monitors data communication network to ensure the network is available to all systems users and resolves data communications problems. Enters diagnostic commands into computer to determine the nature of the problem and reads codes to diagnose problems. Read technical reference manuals for hardware and software to learn cause of problems. Records system malfunctions and action taken. Required to update documentation to record new equipment installs, new site's locations, and changes to computer configurations. Attend staff meetings to report on resolutions to recurring system problems. Responsible for implementation of required changes to the TDL systems. Assists users with any systems problems such as failures of data to be displayed. Reviews procedures users follow to determine whether specified steps were taken. Works closely with staff and Government to set and maintain server and workstation configurations. Creates and maintains user accounts in accordance with standard guidelines. Protects the integrity and security of the systems directory structure. Establishes and maintains vendor relationships to purchase related products. Creates and delivers customer training programs for end users and management. Apprises supervisor of progress and unusual complications. Supervisor reviews work completion for timeliness, effectiveness, and meeting requirements. Provides technical guidance to lower-level technicians. Performs organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance on Tactical Data Links (TDL). Performs Tactical Data Link (TDL) Systems operation. Documents maintenance actions in IEMS. Assists Government with CMS duties as required. Assists Computer Systems Analyst II with network upgrades and security patches. Cross-trained and qualified to operate at least two additional TCTS systems (e.g. Communication, Video Distribution, Display systems). Minimum Qualifications Minimum Education Requirements: * 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field or * 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field or * 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field or * High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. Minimum Experience Requirements: * Installation and maintenance of computer systems * Network interfaces and associated equipment * Communications equipment and TCP/IP * Database configuration and management * Microsoft and UNIX/LINUX networking administration * Multi-Tactical Data Link's (TDL) * DOD network security training * Technical Report writing experience Minimum Position-Specific Training Required: * Must have Formal classroom education equivalent to Navy "C" School or vocational school in Tactical Data Link (TDL) and/or networking. * JT-101 Link 16 Joint Interoperability Course, JT-102 MULTI-TDL Advance Joint Interoperability Course (MAJIC) to be completed within nine months of hire. * Possess a valid state Driver's License * Must be able to complete various DoD and corporate reoccurring training requirements, to include Information Assurance Training, CPR and First Aid. Certification Requirements * Specialty Code 45-System Administration-Intermediate/Journeyman: Employees must meet the qualification levels of the assigned CyberIT/CSWF Specialty Area IAW DoD 8140 & SECNAV M-5239.2. * Must have a secret clearance and be able to maintain. * Must be a U.S Citizen.
