Position Description:
Join a forward-thinking organization supporting the nation's central banking system as a Data Engineer specializing in Databricks and Data Visualization. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work remotely near Richmond, VA, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop end-to-end data solutions. Your expertise will drive data pipeline creation, dashboard development, and process automation, enabling impactful insights and decisions within a secure, compliant environment. You'll be instrumental in designing, maintaining, and optimizing data lakes, warehouses, and visualizations, leveraging your skills in cloud technologies and workflow automation.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks and related tools.
  • Develop, optimize, and govern data lakes, warehouses, and datasets for analytics.
  • Create compelling dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
  • Automate business and data workflows with Microsoft Power Automate or comparable solutions.
  • Monitor data quality, implement governance best practices, and ensure compliance.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, security, and analytics teams to enhance data infrastructure and workflows.

Ideal candidate will have:
  • 5-7 years of data engineering experience with a focus on Databricks and data pipelines.
  • Proven expertise in data lakes, warehouses, and structured data management.
  • Strong skills in SQL, ETL development, and data governance.
  • Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, or similar.
  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudWatch) and cloud data concepts.
  • Experience with workflow automation using Microsoft Power Automate or similar tools.
