Job Description

As a Platform Engineering Intern - AI & Data Enablement at ATPCO, you will support the Platform Capability Engineering team in advancing AI adoption, improving developer productivity, and strengthening data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. 

This role provides hands-on experience evaluating AI-assisted development tools, analyzing platform metrics, building dashboards, and developing automation solutions that enhance engineering workflows. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and cross-functional stakeholders to generate insights and recommend improvements aligned with ATPCO's platform strategy and cloud-first initiatives. 

You will: 

AI Enablement & Developer Productivity 

  • Support evaluation and adoption of AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and related AI models. 

  • Analyze usage metrics to identify opportunities to improve developer efficiency and productivity. 

  • Document findings, best practices, and recommendations to support enterprise-wide AI adoption. 

Data Analysis & Reporting 

  • Perform data analysis using tools such as Data360, Tableau, SQL, and Excel. 

  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to provide insights into platform usage, engineering productivity, and performance metrics. 

  • Support data collection, transformation, and reporting activities aligned with platform KPIs. 

Automation & Scripting 

  • Develop lightweight scripts and automation solutions using Python, TypeScript, or similar languages. 

  • Assist in integrating data sources and engineering tools to streamline internal workflows. 

  • Contribute to improving platform processes and operational efficiency through automation. 

Collaboration 

  • Work closely with Platform Engineering, Product, and cross-functional teams. 

  • Present findings, dashboards, and recommendations to stakeholders. 

  • Participate in agile ceremonies, team discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions. 

The Ideal Candidate: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Familiarity with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding technologies. 

  • Working knowledge of Python, TypeScript, or comparable scripting languages. 

  • Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms. 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

  • Self-motivated, curious, and interested in AI-driven engineering productivity and platform optimization.
