Torch Technologies is seeking a Military Systems Analyst to join a team providing programmatic, technical, and systems engineering support to the Portfolio Acquisition Executive Fires Office (PAE Fires)/Directed Energy Special Projects Office at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. This position supports the PAE Fires organization by assisting with the planning, development, integration, assessment, and fielding of weapon system capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting major DoW acquisition activities and a strong understanding of systems engineering, integration, testing, requirements analysis, and lifecycle support for complex Army aviation and missile systems and mission capabilities.
As a Military Systems Analyst, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Serve as a contributing team member supporting the planning, development, integration, assessment, and fielding of weapon system capabilities.
  • Support efforts across requirements analysis, technical documentation, test planning, risk management, digital engineering, interoperability, and integration of weapon systems, sensors, launchers, mission command systems, and supporting networks.
  • Support systems engineering processes, requirements management, interface control, technical risk management, test planning, and verification/validation activities.
  • Support technical assessments, engineering reviews, working groups, program documentation, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with government, military, contractor, and stakeholder teams to solve complex technical and programmatic challenges.
  • Support DoW acquisition programs, Army modernization efforts, and major weapon system development, integration, test, fielding, or sustainment activities.

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred and 9+ years of related experience.
  • OR 15 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Active Secret Security Clearance required
  • Experience supporting DoW acquisition programs, Army modernization efforts, or major weapon system development, integration, test, fielding, or sustainment activities.
  • Familiarization with systems engineering processes, requirements management, interface control, technical risk management, test planning, and verification/validation activities.
  • Ability to support technical assessments, engineering reviews, working groups, program documentation, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with aviation and advanced fires weapon systems; air and missile defense, long-range precision fires, mission command, sensors, effectors, launchers, or related Army weapon system portfolios.
  • Experience coordinating with government program offices, engineering teams, logisticians, test organizations, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear recommendations for program leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarization with Army acquisition processes, DoW 5000-series guidance, rapid acquisition pathways, and/or Middle Tier Acquisition efforts.
  • Experience supporting the development of Statements of Work (SOWs), CDRLs, DIDs, acquisition documentation, technical data packages, and program briefings.
  • Familiarization with integrated fires, air and missile defense, command and control systems, digital engineering, modeling and simulation, and interoperability testing.
  • 5 years of Aviation Systems Engineering experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting system integration, developmental testing, operational testing, environmental testing, cybersecurity, safety, or reliability assessments.
  • Knowledge of open systems architectures, modular design approaches, interface management, software-intensive systems, and data-driven decision support.
