Position Summary The Contract Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support to the Contracting Department in a fast-paced managed care environment. This role is responsible for assisting with contract coordination, provider communications, network support, single patient agreement negotiations, and maintenance of contract documentation and databases. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, organizational, communication, and customer service skills with experience in healthcare contracting or managed care operations.

Key Responsibilities Contract Support & Provider Relations (95%) Support a mission-driven culture focused on customer service, accountability, consistency, and quality performance. Evaluate out-of-network service requests and assess available in-network providers for appropriate redirection. Participate in daily team meetings to review case outcomes and operational updates.

Negotiate single patient agreements (SPAs) for members requiring out-of-network services. Serve as the primary point of contact for provider inquiries related to contracts, reimbursement, credentialing, and network status. Assist Contract Managers with drafting, distributing, tracking, and collecting provider contract documents.

Maintain and organize provider contracts, contact records, and related documents within electronic databases and shared drives. Monitor contract statuses and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items. Update departmental desktop procedures and recommend process improvements.

Collaborate with internal departments to support short- and long-term contracting goals and projects. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree plus 2 years of experience in managed care, healthcare contracting, provider relations, or a related field; OR Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience negotiating single patient agreements (SPAs).

Knowledge of professional and ancillary healthcare contracts. Experience performing basic data analysis and reporting. Familiarity with provider credentialing and reimbursement processes.
