SUMMARY:

Serves as the on-site focal point for contract support at the Soldier Readiness Center (SRC) and facilitates the proper validation checks for personnel-related readiness requirements. This position assists with scheduling for the SRC operation, as well as controlling the flow through the SRC process. This position performs an Essential Contractor Service and is expected to provide services under all circumstances.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities listed in a satisfactory manner:

  • Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with Army Regulation (AR) 600-8-101, as well as other applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the scheduling and processing of mobilizing, demobilizing, deployment/ redeployment elements
  • Coordinate daily with the Garrison Support Organization's Mobilization Operations Section and SRC staff leaders to ensure there are no conflicts with scheduled processing.
  • Conduct initial SRC daily briefing on flow, paperwork and processing procedures for all units/individuals and assist in directing them through the process
  • Produce Sign-out roster from identification cards for all persons processing through the SRC
  • Maintain adequate stock of SRC processing packets and other necessary paperwork.
  • Provide expertise and training to contract staff in the performance of work at all assigned stations and duties (briefing; scheduling; Stations 1, 11 and 12).
  • Ensure the proficiency of personnel and maintain systems access pertaining to all assigned stations.
  • Assist fellow staff members in controlling the flow of Soldiers throughout the SRC process, to include processing Soldiers for all personnel stations when necessary.
  • Distribute work instructions and assignments to other administrative personnel, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements identified below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to satisfactorily meet the expectations of this job:

  • Possess extensive knowledge with US Army
  • Possess functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (primarily Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Able to work under all circumstances with little-to-no notice, which include evenings and weekends.
  • Possess a working knowledge of military rank structure and military unit relationships (e.g., Company, Battalion, Brigade, Division, etc).
  • Able to work under stressful conditions and be physically able to demonstrate the training/support tasks to standard.
  • Possess knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • At a minimum, possess a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Preferred Associates Degree or higher.
  • Preferred minimum three (3) years experience in military personnel processing expertise at the non-commissioned officer/section lead level.
  • Prefer one year experience with processing Reserve Component Soldiers.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources.


REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to define problem, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and formulate a plan of action.
  • Ability to organize work, solve problems, establish and manage priorities.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid U.S. state driver's license.
